At the heart of the system is the Structural Center Piece, which sits on the rear of the motorcycle between the two bags. This rigid structural element distributes the load evenly across the motorcycle, stabilises the entire system and allows the angle of the Hailstorm 50 to be adjusted. , ensuring compatibility with a wide range of large travel .

In addition to the standard rear mounting, the Hailstorm 50 can also be installed by routing the system over the passenger grab handles. However, for the cleanest fit and maximum stability, we recommend removing the grab handles so the system can sit directly and securely on the motorcycle.

The Hailstorm 50 is equipped with the CRR Breakaway System, which is designed to reduce the risk of damage and injury in the event of a crash or if the luggage gets caught on an obstacle. The CRR break piece is integrated into the system and can be replaced if necessary.

Each bag features three patented Enduristan Standard Interfaces, allowing modular expansion with additional accessories. The interfaces are positioned on the flap (1×3), on the front (2×2) and on the rear (2×4), making it easy to attach add-on bags or accessories exactly where they are needed.

Under the left flap, a drawstring system allows small items to be secured quickly. Under the right flap, a zipper pocket provides protected storage for documents or smaller gear.

The Hailstorm 50 comes with perfectly fitting inner bags that match the shape of the outer bags exactly. This allows all gear to be removed in one go without taking the outer bags off the motorcycle – ideal for hotels or camping. The inner bags feature a carrying handle and attachment points for an optional shoulder strap (not included).

To protect the motorcycle the complete lower surface of the luggage system is fitted with removable EVA padding. Protective stickers are included to prevent scratches where the CRR System comes into contact with the bike. Depending on the motorcycle and exhaust position, we recommend fitting an additional Inferno heat shield (not included).

Like all Enduristan products, the Hailstorm 50 is fully water-, dust-, mud- and snowproof – no inner bag required – and designed specifically for use on motorcycles.

Recently fitted the Enduristan Hailstorm 50 panniers to my BMW F750GS

I've recently fitted the Enduristan Hailstorm 50 panniers to my BMW F750GS, and first impressions are really positive.
They look great on the bike, streamlined, super smart and, importantly for me, they fit really well without needing a luggage rack. Before I had a rack and found it a bit too cumbersome. I like the simplicity of this setup.
They look clean, adventurous and simple. There are also plenty of options to add additional bags if you want to increase your capacity, depending on your destination! The fit feels secure. But each time I ride with them I check the straps, make sure they are tight and no long ends hanging down that could get caught up.

I haven't had the opportunity to properly test them off road yet, so this is very much my first impressions on the road. I’m looking forward to putting them through their paces on some future trips and seeing how they perform when they're loaded up and subjected to real adventure riding.

So far, though, the rack free set up, fit, look and way they just seem to blend into the bike has really impressed me.

OK, this is my first large rackless system. It suits me very well, I love the concept with the inner bags a lot and also the interfaces to add more bags on the outside. For my weekend trips, I am perfectly fine without, but for longer trips I may get some Sidekicks.

Hailstorm 50

Die Hailstorm 50 Taschen haben mich von Afang an überzeugt. Im Vergleich zu den Blizzard Taschen viel stabiler. Dank der Grundplatte können die Taschen nicht mehr zu Tief hängen und schwingen weniger umher.
Sehr zu empfehlen. Die Qualität wie gewohnt von Enduristan sehr gut.

ACHTUNG: Wichtiger Installationshinweis (Hitzeschild)

Zuerst einmal ein Lob für dieses tolle Produkt. Es wirkt sehr hochwertig und die Montage ist, wenn man dem Video folgt, sehr einfach. Ich fahre ebenfalls eine KTM 690 Enduro wie im Video, habe aber leider ein wichtiges Detail übersehen.

Die Trägerplatte war zu nahe am Auspuff montiert, wodurch ein Teil der Polsterung sowie eine Schnalle weggeschmolzen sind. Im Video und auf den Produktfotos ist das Touratech Hitzeschutzblech montiert. Bei der KTM 690 ist dieses aus meiner Sicht unverzichtbar und sollte unbedingt verwendet werden. Das war jedoch eindeutig mein Fehler. Ich habe den geringen Abstand zum Auspuff unterschätzt.

Die obere Schnalle lässt sich leider nicht durch das Original ersetzen, ohne die Tasche aufzutrennen und neu zu vernähen. Ich verwende deshalb Ersatzschnallen von Savotta aus Finnland, die ebenfalls von hervorragender Qualität sind.

Vielleicht wäre das eine interessante Sortimentserweiterung für Enduristan. 😉

Wie gut das Ganze langfristig hält, wird sich auf meiner Weltreise herausstellen.
